Parish Council Meeting

The next Parish Council meeting will be in the Village Hall on Monday 7th June at 7pm.
Come along and meet the new members of the council.

Fete

Little Compton Village Fete will be held on Saturday 19th June 12-5pm. The proceeds from the fete are divided between The village hall, The WI, The Church,and the first Responders Unit. Your help is needed to keep these village organisations going.You are invited to help with the following:

Items for the Tombola and produce stalls
Cakes
Good as new items for the White Elephant
An hour of your time to help on a stall

WI Meeting

The WI Meeting on 3rd June at 7:30pm will be by Gillian Cane, speaking about the Mitford Sisters.

The results for Little Comptons Parish Council elections are as follows:

Tidy the Village

The next date for helping to tidy the village is Sunday 23rd May, meeting in the village hall at 10am. Please bring tools etc.

Stratford-on-Avon Parliamentary Election Results

The result for the Stratford-on-Avon Parliamentary Constituency is

  • Neil Basnett (Independent) 1032 votes
  • Fred Bishop (English Democrats) 473 votes
  • Robert Johnston (Labour) 4809 votes
  • George Jones (BNP) 1097 votes
  • Brett Parsons (UKIP) 1846 votes
  • Martin Turner (Lib Dem) 14706 votes
  • Karen Varga (Green) 527 votes
  • Nadhim Zahawi (Conservative) 26052 votes – Elected

The turnout was 72.95%

Polling on 6 May was carried out with the local District Elections at over 100 stations around the District, from 7am to 10pm.

Vacant Seats: 1 –  Electorate: 69517 –  Ballot Papers Issued: 50637 –  Turnout: 72.84%
